Bikepacking 101

Join us in March for a three part series in conjunction with our friends at Bicycle Revolution to learn about bikepacking, navigation, and to put your new skills to the test.

Join us on Saturday, March 2nd for a 30 mile (round trip) gravel ride from the shop to Brown’s Landing where Coach Jason Shearer will discuss all the gear needed as well as the the dos and don’ts of bike packing. Have your questions ready for the expert and plan for an informational and fun time that includes lunch!

Waiver must be signed prior to ride so please arrive at Bicycle Revolution a little early! $10 covers lunch and pavilion rental.

Ride with GPS? Cue sheets? GPX files? Oh my!

Interested in learning how to navigate a self-supported route or better understand how to read maps and cue sheets? Join us for a casual evening at Bicycle Revolution with Jason Shearer to talk about all of this and much more. Become extremely confident using you Garmin, Wahoo, or even your phone. Bring your devices and questions!

Free to attend, adult beverages and soft drinks available for happy hour prices and light snacks will be served.

As part three of our collaboration with Ordinary Epics, Bicycle Revolution will be hosting our first bike packing overnighter.

This will be semi-supported as the Revolution truck will be used as a rest stop; however, riders are encouraged to use their new skills acquired in the clinics instructed by Coach Jason Shearer that were part one and two.
The route from Bicycle Revolution to Holmes County State Park will be posted soon!

Chef Jeremy Polk will be preparing a delicious meal for all participants on Saturday night and vegetarian options will be available! All other meals will be riders responsibility.
